Tool-less locking

This simple, intuitive, and highly secure locking mechanism does not require specialized tools for engagement or disengagement and eliminates the need for traditional safety wiring. This significantly reduces installation maintenance, directly lowers total cost of ownership for operators, and removes the risk of foreign object debris caused by improperly secured safety wire.

Default locked state

The mechanism is designed so locking is ensured as the default state when the connector is not being actively interfaced with by a user. An operator cannot leave the connector electrically connected but unlocked, supporting more reliable operational safety.

Positive tactile feedback

Provides a physical sensation as the connection locks into place during installation. This helps reduce the chance of human error leading to an unlocked connection, especially in poorly lit or difficult-to-reach areas.

Single gloved-hand operation

Allows for quick and easy hand tightening without specialized tools. This is highly advantageous in crowded avionics bays where access is restricted, enabling technicians to easily mate and unmate connections.

Designed to integrate into current systems without major redesigns. The connectors maintain or exceed the high-frequency electrical performance characteristics, including VSWR and insertion loss, of standard M39012 connectors for 50-ohm coaxial cable across specified frequency ranges.
